We are looking forward to The Llandysul Gardening Weekend event which will again be an exciting attraction to start the new year in the Teifi Valley. Drawing visitors from a wide area, the event offers an opportunity to the novice and the very experienced gardener and grower to start planning for the spring.
Each day of the four-day event, experts will give talks on a variety of growing and gardening topics including everyone’s favourite “Hellebores”. See the programme for full details or visit our website www.fyn.wales . In the Main Hall there will be stands selling a great variety of plants and garden accessories. On the Stage, Farmyard Nurseries, Llandysul’s RHS gold medal winner, will once again create a wonderful display to inspire you for the coming year.

10.40am: Richard Bramley – Hellebores, An Addiction How the passion started, from the first meeting with Helen Ballard to present day.
1.00pm: Sue Kent – Perennials in Pots. Sue will be discussing some of her favourite plants to give good interest for pots to add some cheer into any garden.
3.15pm: Roddy Milne – Evergreens for Winter Effect Hardy palm trees, big evergreen ferns, Mahonia and other plants for the tropical winter scene.
10.40am: Adam yn yr Ardd – Gardening in Wet Wales The S4C presenter gives us his best tips and tricks for gardening in our climate
1.00pm: Connor O’Donoghue – Invasive Plants. Do you know which plants are invasive? Or how to control them?
3.15pm: Ruth & Rich – The Shows. Father & daughter will recant the tale of their adventures of doing the shows together, the trials and tribulations, and gaining GOLD.
10.40am: David Wheeler – Perfect Bedfellows An illustrated talk on the growing together of Japanese Maples and Hydrangeas.
1.00pm: Rich – Hellebores, The Way Forward. We all love the traditional Hellebore, but have you seen some of the newer forms, colours and hybrids?
3.15pm: Janine Richter – Propagating for the Nursery Ex-Hilliers will discuss the techniques and the joy of growing plants from bits of other plants
10.40am: Ruth Bramley – Popular House Plants for the Beginner. Health benefits of house plants and a trendy addition to your living space.
1.00pm: Malcolm Berry – Understanding Soil. How having a good understanding is a fundamental part of our success or failure
3.15pm: Justine Burgess – No Dig Gardening. No Dig Gardening and explaining how no dig makes life easier, and helps plants grow more healthily, with fewer weeds.
Parking: in the pay and display car park.
Groups: coaches are welcome.
Refreshments: There will be a tea shop in the hall, open all day, serving delicious home baked cakes and refreshments.
Lunches: available at the many cafes, pubs and restaurants in Llandysul.
