Llandysul Christmas Fair Brings Festive Magic to the Town On Saturday 6th December, 2025, Llandysul Christmas Fair drew wonderful crowds on Saturday, filling the town with festive cheer and a lively, joyful atmosphere. Families, shoppers and visitors enjoyed an afternoon packed with entertainment, community spirit, local shopping and delicious street food.
Music set the tone for the day as Clwb Plant Ffynnon opened the programme of performances. They were followed by the Llandysul Community Gospel Choir, Teifi Tooters Brass, and CFFI Llanllwni, each adding their own festive sparkle with seasonal songs and music.
Children were especially delighted by the roaming magician and juggler Gizmo, whose tricks and playful antics were a huge hit throughout the afternoon. The face painter was also kept very busy, with long queues of excited children waiting to be transformed into everything from snowflakes to superheroes. The popular Puppet Show by The Arcade also entertained families all afternoon.
The town was full of things to see and do, including a charming Snow Village display at The Arcade, craft stalls, food vendors and the chance to visit the alpacas.
The 1st Llandysul Scout Group had created a magical Grotto in the Church Hall, which more than 40 children and their families visited.
The Best Dressed Christmas Window winners were announced by John Clocs.
Best Business Window: The Arcade, Llandysul
Best Home Window: Bryony Mitchell, Pont-Tyweli
The judges noted the very high standard this year, with everything from classic and chic Christmas displays to all-out festive glitz. On these dark winter evenings, your beautifully decorated homes and shop windows really do brighten our community. The judges were truly grateful for all the creativity, effort and festive spirit on display.
As darkness fell, the Christmas Parade made its way through the town. Lanterns created by children from Clwb Teifi led the way, followed by vintage tractors and Santa in his sleigh. The tractors tooted their horns all the way, adding a lively soundtrack — a cheerful alternative to the usual jingling bells — and delighting families who lined the streets to watch the procession.
The Christmas Fair was organised by Llandysul & Pont-Tyweli Ymlaen, with financial support from Llandysul Community Council. The event would not have been possible without the hard work of volunteers, the support of local businesses and the warm enthusiasm of residents. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed and everyone who came along to make the day such a success.
