Walkers are Welcome

Llandysul and Pont-Tyweli and the surrounding area has a good network of walks that cover a variety of scenery and level of difficulty and that is still a well kept secret.

Logo Croeso i GerddwyrLlandysul and Pont-Tyweli has led the way in Ceredigion in being awarded the Walkers are Welcome status in 2009. It was also one of the first in Wales to achieve that status.  Membership of Walkers are Welcome includes public liability insurance for walks organised by the group.

A major part of membership is a commitment to keep local footpaths open, to ensure that walkers are welcome in local businesses and to promote walking in the area.

As part of this, there is a programme of monthly guided walks as well as information on other local walks, both short and more challenging. Some of the walks are also particularly suited to families. Everybody is welcome to join us on these walks, but children should be accompanied by an adult. Walks cost from £3 for adults. Children under 16-free unless otherwise stated in the programme.

We also hold the annual Llandysul and Pont-Tyweli Walking Weekend.
