Mid Wales Transforming Towns Covid-19 Grant Programme

The funding for the umbrella canopy, new signs, along with other elements come from the Mid Wales Transforming Towns Covid-19 Grant Programme.
The bid for the £10k funding package were put together by Llandysul & Pont-Tyweli Ymlaen and members of the Business Group who applied to Ceredigion County Council for funding with match funding support from Llandysul Community Council.
The aim of the fund is to facilitate trading recovery at a time when businesses have been seriously impacted and to encourage shoppers back into Ceredigion’s towns whilst maintaining and ensuring public safety in response to coronavirus pandemic.

The package includes:

  • The umbrella canopy in Lôn Wesley;
  • social distancing signs which will be placed around the shopping area;
  • new information boards to be used to display additional safety and community information;
  • new town signs on the approaches to Llandysul;
  • the fund also enabled the group to buy a wi-fi router which will form a wider project working with Ceredigion County Council to set up a town wi-fi service.

The Llandysul & Pont-Tyweli Ymlaen and the Business Group welcomes all members of our business community and currently meets online once a month whilst juggling business with volunteering time to make a positive change to our community.  Email info@dolenteifi.org.uk for details.
