Llandysul and Pont-Tyweli Walkers are Welcome will be holding a Walking Weekend from Friday 30 September - Sunday 2 October 2016.

· All walks cost £3. Under 16s are free.

· Walking boots, warm and waterproof clothing to be worn on all walks. Rucksack with water & snacks are recommended.

· Please contact the specific walk leader if you require transport from Llandysul for any of the Sunday Walks and if you wish to bring a dog on any of the walks over the weekend.


Participants are advised to arrange their own insurance to cover any loss, damage, accident or injury to people or their property, as the Llandysul & Pont Tyweli Group cannot accept responsibility.

Grade of Walks
Easy- for anyone without mobility issues.
Leisurely- for reasonable fit people, includes rural paths.
Moderate- for people with good fitness level, includes steep paths, open countryside, brisk pace.

Local History walk: Meet at Llandysul Car park. Walk leaders Jane Kerr and Lesley Parker  (07989 127396). Approx 1.5 hours to finish at the Porth Hotel.  Easy.

Saturday 1stOctober 

All walks begin at 10am.

Alltwallis to Pencader: Mynydd Rhos-wen, Blaengwen Wind Farm, lanes to Pencader. 8 miles.  Minibus from Llandysul car park at 10am. Walk leaders: Ron and Megan Foulkes 01559 362736.  Moderate.

Bancyffordd Walk begins at Llandysul car park. It follows the disused railway alongside the Afon Tyweli, through woodland, country lanes and across open farmland with fine views across the valley to the Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire hills. 6 miles.  Walk Leaders: Rob and  Pat Lloyd 01559 362474.  Leisurely.

Teifi Loop begins at Llandysul car park. A walk along country lanes, through ancient woodland and finally along the banks of the Teifi river.  3.5 miles. Walk leader:  Tom Cowcher 01559  363200.  Easy.

Twmpath dawns, 8pm. Cost £3—A traditional Welsh Folk dancing evening in the Porth Hotel with Erwyd Howells and Bryan Jones .

Sunday 2ndOctober 

All walks begin at 10am.

Coed y Foel/Capel Dewi: Start from Coed y Foel Woodland Trust car park (SN426420). Walking through woodlands, fields and lanes. 9 miles. Walk leaders: Ron and Megan Foulkes 01559 362736.  Moderate.

Tregroes Walk  Begin at Tregroes School (SN406448). Walk along country lanes and bridleways heading towards Geginan, Fox Hole and to the historic site of Dinas Cerdin and then return to the school. Walk leader: Eileen Curry 01559 362253.  Approx. 3hrs. Moderate.

Cwmcou Walk, park and start at Cwmcou layby (SN295420). This a gentle walk through lanes, woodland and meadows.  About 1.25 hours.
Walk Leader: Lisa Bransden 01559 362143. Easy.

Sunday 2ndOctober, enjoy a Traditional Welsh Tea at the Porth Hotel, Llandysul.  Cost £5.  Contact the Porth Hotel 01559 362202.
