February 21st: IL POSTINO

A film for St Valentine’s day.  Academy Award winning story of Mario, a fisherman in a tiny Italian village who’s madly in love with a beautiful woman in the local café but he’s too shy to tell her how he feels.  However, when a world famous Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda is exiled to a little island nearby, Mario gets a job as his postman and with Neruda’s help he finds the right words to win her heart.  Plus supporting programme.

March 20th: TEMPLE GRANDIN

An inspiring factual story of a young woman’s struggle with autism and her emergence as a person with an innate sensitivity and unique understanding of animal behaviour.  Her methods have revolutionised the cattle industry in the USA.  Plus support programme.
