Walk to top of Llandysul
Llynyfran, Dyffryn Teifi, Plas y Dderwen.(Purple route)
Approx. 2 miles. Allow 1 hour. Difficult gradients and maybe slippery in wet.
Turn right from car park passing Porth Hotel on your right then fork left up hill. At main road cross straight over and up steep road turn right and follow tarmac road with speed bumps. Continue onto stone lane past last house then fork left up green lane, ignore kissing gate and follow path to left. Beware rock maybe slippery in wet conditions. Pass through iron kissing gate and continue until top when you exit lane through galvanised gate. Turn right along pavement and right again to follow green lane footpath behind houses, until you reach pavement at top of lane. Turn left and follow pavement out of housing estate. Turn left again and follow tarmac path behind wide verge pass playing fields on left then cross over road to iron kissing gate. Go through gate and follow footpath through another gate beside school building to road. Cross straight over road and down shaded path to riverbank. Take a detour to the right along the river to Plas y Dderwen picnic area, unfortunately a no through path, returning to Llandysul bridge, follow the street into village, turn right beside the Cilgwyn Arms and follow right hand pavement. In approx.1/4 mile turn right down narrow lane to the Park. Follow riverside walk passing playing fields on the left and river with spectacular woodland on the right. Follow path anti-clockwise returning to the car park.
