Coedfoel Woods & Farm Walk (Orange Route)
Approx 5 miles (about 2.5hr.) Moderate / difficult – waterproof boots, gates & stiles.
Parking in woodland car park to shorten walk.
Highlights – Wonderful views, tranquil, woodland stream.
Llandysul – Setting off from Town Car Park – turn right, pass St Tysul Church, and then the Porth Hotel, keep to the right following River Teifi, pass Abercerdin Mill, cross bridge over river Cerdin, after 100 yds turn right-signposted Capel Dewi or follow riverside walk to Abercerdin. Take 1 st left towards Llanfair, follow road until you come to the Woodland Trust car park on left. Through gate at end of car park, follow leafy path along bottom of the woods. Below this path and parallel to it runs the beautiful stream of Gwenffrwd. Throughout this part of the walk there are yellow arrows to show the way.
Pass Blaencwmcadifor house on your right; follow the arrows over two stiles and two fields, bearing right towards a caravan and out buildings.
Turn right down wide lane. Follow bridal way arrows through gate on left. Continue straight on until you see brown Tir Gofal waymarker on right. Pass through gate and follow waymarker arrows through fields. Glance around at view point overlooking Llanfair. Continue down field and cross over stile on to road turning right and retrace your steps to Llandysul.
