Opening Times

The basic library service is

FREE OF CHARGE

It will not cost you to borrow books. However when you join the library you undertake to return the books borrowed within an agreed time. If you find there is a problem please ring us and let us know, otherwise a system of fines will come into operation.

BOOKS
(up to 8 books at a time)

Free of charge for 3 weeks. You may renew books up to 3 times only provided no-one else has requested the book. After such time, unless the loan is renewed overdue items are charged at the rate:
Adults 8p per day up to a maximum of £5 per item.
Children 3p per day up to a maximum of £2 per item.

ACCESS TO THE INTERNET IS FREE AT ALL BRANCHES
In addition to the basic free service, there are other services for which there is a charge:

VIDEO: for those over 18 years old.
Loan period 7 days.
£1.60 per item (3 videos at a time).
£0.80 per item - pensioners and registered Disabled.
Overdue items 30p per day.

DVDs: for those over 18 years old
Loan period 7 days
£2 per item (3 DVDs at a time)
Pensioners and Registered Disabled £1
Overdue items 30p per day

COMPACT DISCS and CASSETTES
Loan period 2 weeks.
60p per item (3 CDs and 3 cassettes at a time).
Pensioners and Registered Disabled 30p.
Overdue items 8p per day.
3p per day for children.
Talking books free for Registered Blind.

Ceredigion Library does not accept responsibility for any damage caused to electrical equipment by playing videos, cassettes and CDs borrowed.

RESERVATION FEE
50p per item for county stock.
£1.50 per item for Inter Library Loan

PHOTOCOPIES
A4 10p per copy.
A3 20p per copy.
