The Power House
has been undergoing renovation work over the last few months
and will reopen in Spring 2010. There will be a new website,
more courses and events. Please come back and take look later
in the year.
The Power House
in Pont Tyweli originally provided electricity for Pont
Tyweli and Llandysul. Today it is a vibrant Arts Centre
where weekly painting and arts and craft courses take
place.
These three courses are run by Carmarthenshire Learning
Network. For more information contact

Tuesday, 7pm to 9pm - Arts and
Crafts Course.
Thursday, 7.00pm to 9.00pm -
Art Course.

The Powerhouse is also used by Coda,
a local band who rehearse on early Monday evenings. To hire the

During the British
Junior Canoe Championships 2005, the Power House
hosted three exhibitions; paintings by the Art Group,
a collection of photographs taken during 2004 by
the Dark Room Girls and a collection of photographs
of Llandysul and Pont Tyweli during the early 20
th Century on loan from the Local
History Society.
