Corlan prepares for Carnifal
Update 24/05/07
Giants in the makingWork for this year's carnival continues as a second workshop was held at Tysul Hall as part of Corlan, the Community Arts Project for Llandysul being run by Small World Theatre. A number of very impressive giants are being made by different groups who are taking part in the carnival for the first time this year. The workshops are providing participants with a unique opportunityto learn new creative skills, meet other people as well as take part in an important annual community event. Julie Evans, Corlan's Project Manager said, "The project is going extremely well. We now have over 35 people actively involved in making these giants for the carnival. It's great to see how well people can turn their own ideas into something that is much larger than life! It should be a great carnival". Dates for the next workshop are yet to be confirmed but if you would like further information about Corlan, contact Julie on 01239 615952. The project is part funded by the European Social Fund and the Lankelly Chase Foundation.

Over 40 people attended and work is now well underway to create a range of exciting giants to take part in this year's carnival procession. We won't tell you too much here as it will spoil the surprise but here are some pictures of what has been achieved so far!
